The mission of the AMDA Academy is to instill Muslim values, character education, and good citizenship in all children. The environment will be conducive to Islamic socialization. We believe learning religion needs personal attention so we strive to provide personal attention to each student and to keep low student to teacher ratio.
Activities throughout the year will include Eid Celebrations, graduation parties, and recreational activities within the school and with other Muslim communities.
The academy will also encourage students and facilitate participation of teams at community-based, school-friendly program that builds participants' creativity, problem solving, and teamwork in enjoyable and meaningful ways.
Classes are to be held once a week on Sundays, except for the holidays Students will be expected to attend one prayer in Jama’a during the school hours. |

The Greater Lansing Islamic School is a private elementary/middle school in East Lansing, Michigan. Our mission is to offer an excellent comprehensive elementary education that will enable students to be competitive. The school also promotes the cultural, spiritual and intellectual heritage of Islam.
The Sunday School offers institutional instruction to children ranging from kindergarten through high school level (age 5-18) for basic teaching of Islam using knowledge base from the Holy Qur'an, Sunnah and collective Fiqh. Our teachers are from the local community who volunteer their time for the cause, and come from various disciplines of life.
