This introductory short lesson takes a look at why we believe in Islam and what Islam is all about.

Weekend 2

Allah: Angry or Kind

Two of Allāh’s distinguishing features are His anger upon the wrongdoers and kindness towards the righteous. This lesson discusses kindness and compassion of Allāh.

Weekend 3

Seeking Forgiveness  of Allah - Ishtigfar

Even prophets always sought Istighfar from Allāh. This lesson discusses importance of seeking forgiveness and istighfar.

Weekend 4

Indecency

Allāh and Prophet (S) strongly prohibited indecency of any kind. This moral building lesson takes a look at what is meant by indecency and how we can guard ourselves from indecencies in our daily activities.

Weekend 5

Gossip

The Qur’ān and sunnah discouraged gossip, yet frequently we indulge in one. This lesson discusses various forms of gossip and teaches students how they can identify and avoid gossip.  

Weekend 6

Adam (A)

The children learned about Adam(A)  in an earlier class. In this class they will learn additional details about the prophet.

Weekend 7

Nuh (A)

Story of Nuh (A) was covered in an earlier lesson. There are more to learn about the prophet and his life.

Weekend 8

Stories of Ibrahim (A) -I

In this two part series on Ibrahim (A), the lesson covers the life of the prophet in Iraq. 

Weekend 9

Stories of Ibrahim (A)  -II

In the second part of the series on Ibrahim (A), this lesson covers the life of the prophet in Palestine and Arabia.  

Weekend 10

Ad and Thamud

Both the tribes excelled as great communities, but both were destroyed after achieving excellence. Why? The chapter investigates the cause.

Dhul Qurnain

The students are introduced to the story of Dhul Qurnain as narrated in the Qur’ān.

Weekend 12

Dwellers of Cave

This lesson narrates the enigmatic story of Dwellers of Cave as mentioned in the Qur’ān.

Weekend 13

Dawud(A)  & Sulaiman(A) 

The students were taught about Dawud (A)  and Sulaiman (A)  in an earlier year through this curriculum. This chapter builds on the previous knowledge and discusses their main activities.  

Weekend 14

Abu Sufyan

This chapter provides a brief history of life and activities of Abu Sufyan – once an enemy and later a Companion.

Weekend 15

Khalid Ibn Walid

In this lesson students take a look at one of the greatest warriors in Islamic history.

Weekend 16

Prophet Muhammad (S). Character from Hadith stories

Based on a few ahādīth, this lesson shows some of the most distinguished character of the Prophet(S). 

Weekend 17

Character of All prophets

All prophets showed similar characteristics, gave similar message and suffered similar rejection. The lesson shows similarities in their mission.

Weekend 18

Prophet's Marriage The Prophet (S) married 13 women at different time. This lesson takes a look at the circumstances and reasons under which he married these women.

Weekend 19

Alcohol and gambling The Qur’ān prohibits alcohol and gambling. The alcohol use in this Western society is accepted norm. The students will learn why they need to stay away from these evil.

Weekend 20

Permitted and Prohibited Permitted and prohibited are not only related to food, but also to other aspects. This lesson looks at some of the most important prohibited things all students should stay away from.

Position of Women in Islam Students are introduced to the Islamic view point on position of Women in Islam.

Weekend 22

Establishing Salat As students learn performing salat, they also need to understand why the Qur’ān emphasized establishing salat. This lesson discusses the matter.

Weekend 23

Being khalifa on earth What it means to be khalifa on earth? What are our obligations and how we can fulfill the requirements of being khalifa.

Weekend 24

Man-woman relationship with respect to Yusuf(A) As youngsters are becoming aware of sexuality, they are carefully introduced to man-woman relationship with respect to the story of Yusuf(A). A great moral building lesson.

Weekend 25

Lailatul Qadr The Qur’ān was revealed in the night of Lailatul Qadr. But there is more meaning to it. This lesson discusses the importance of the Night.

Weekend 26

Purification The Qur’ān and sunnah emphasize purification of soul and body. There are many ways we can do it. This lesson discusses ways to purify ourselves.

Weekend 27

Paradise and Hell This lesson provides an overview of what is Paradise and what is Hell. A summary of what happens there, why it happens and who goes where.

Weekend 28

My Family is Muslim Now This lesson discusses the challenges and commitment of a newly-convert Muslim family.  The lesson takes an interesting look at the life of convert Muslims.  

Weekend 29

Muslims in North America
